About Us

Our research team is deeply interested in studying low-dimensional layered materials. We explore these materials at tiny scales, all the way up to larger, more practical sizes.

One of our main goals is to understand how the thin layers interact with each other at the interfaces, where they meet. This understanding is really important because these layered materials can react strongly to their surroundings, and figuring out how to manage that can lead to exciting applications.

To make this all happen, we use some of the latest tools and techniques for building devices that range from nanoscale up to waferscale. We also come up with new ways to work with these thin, layered materials and carefully study their properties to learn as much as we can about them.
